Now with rubber! And off-colored lume. I'd be curious to see if the case and lugs are as flat as the old Headwind case --one of its few drawbacks. No par epargne silver dial, I'm guessing. Clearly a sport reiteration of the Headwind.

Also interesting is that it's 1mm thinnner than the Headwind.

It's the same movement as the Transocean day-date so pricing should be similar

Just the same, why not call the Galactic series Cockpit? because in today's aviation the term Cockpit is considered sexiest. So by changing the series name it makes it more female friendly. So when you have a new series you need new names. This is just a guess of mine but it seems to fit..

Or perhaps they decided to call a completely different watch Cockpit? (and that watch looks nothing like the Cockpit that was discontinued a few years ago). Breitling naming conventions make no sense.

Saw the news release this morning, it's not a bad watch, but it's no Headwind :(

The case and lugs do have more of a curvature like the Cockpit model. It wears very well, kinda like a thinner (14.3mm) and lighter (104g) Chronomat case. I like this case design better than the Headwind.

Some real life shots from a few weeks ago:

I love it. Breitling deserve some credit on this one: they've listened to the complaints about the bezel. The vintage lume looks great and it's a well balanced dial. I'm a fan.

I'm surprised they went back to screw on tabs. So many get bent on the old style. But the slight redesign on them, they look stronger and since they are behind the crystal ring, they might not get caught.

r u sure, Wes ? Surprised, as EU prices w/o taxes are "only" around $5.4k ?
would be atypical.

Price comes up $6200 on Breitling's USA Website when purchase with Pilot bracelet. When you outfit it with the Black Military strap the price is $4920! I guess it all depends on how you "build it".

"built" it w/ the bracelet; on the Military it's around $4.3k here; a surprising change.

I like the look of this one, can't build it on the Breitling site for Canada yet so not clear on the pricing. I like the military strap as well.
