What has me concerned is the "stainless steel back" marking vs "stainless steel" - the case looks plated. Also the serial would put it pre-1944 as opposed to claim of 1947.

Any thoughts here?

I contacted the seller about the date but he has not made any changes..... On him. Correct about the date as it is pre 1946 and the newly posted movement photos look correct as the movement is NOT signed. Case is correct also as the case back IS stainless but the case itself was not as it was during the war and all the good metals we're going to war production so plated is correct.

Didn't know that about the case plating / war connection there - thank you again for your help. One of these years I'll finally buy a vintage breitling hah.

Actually these are one of my favorites, just a great movement and a great early Breitling that is simple but elegant. Will be a forever classic!!

you are looking at the non-chrono list., watch is pre-1944, most probably 1943
