It depends I think.
I've got 2 breitlings and got a pen, 8 hats, a lanyard , a rucksack and 2 t shirts but some of those are by simply giving them a call and seeing if they can let me have something.

I've bought five new from AD and once got a hat. I have no idea how people get things like rucksacks, jackets, wallets etc. I'm assuming that some things get dished out when Breitling is hosting / sponsoring some kind of corporate event? Bit frustrating when you see a lot of the stuff up for sale.

You'll never know if you don't ask. Ask and you might receive, especially if you do that just before they swipe your credit card. Not good form or etiquette? Oh well.

Breitling don't hand out swag, the regional distributors do. In the US that's done centrally through BUSA and seems to be a bit hit and miss after a hat for first purchase. In other areas there either isn't an established policy or items are distributed through ADs (who have to order them) for them to give out at their discretion.

In the UK you're frankly lucky if you get anything at all. I've bought many Breitlings from AD's over the years and I've never received anything as a direct result of making a purchase.

The only swag I've picked up is a couple of Breitling pens from an AD after I mentioned the general lack of getting anything(!), and a couple of hats from a couple of events that one of my AD's has run..... but as I say these weren't related to a specific purchase.

My AD outlined what it took to get various items - up to and including the leather jacket. As Roff said, it comes from the distributor but the AD gets in the game and responds to requests and whining. Paying full price will get you more free swag.

Yes, on the basis of my experience in the UK plus reading about US experiences on here, it's plainly a much larger part of the equation with US dealers.

As has been said in US, I've got most of the swag from BUSA after the AD sends in the purchase registration card (started with a couple hats, then pocket knife, pen, credit card wallet, etc.) My AD also has stepped up with a couple gifts of their own.

Those poor guys in the UK, :( , can someone at send them pink boxers or something ? :poke:

In response to Driver, I think the whole of Europe is the same concerning swag. I have asked my distributor many times for swag and all I get is ten hats a year to give to my clients...

Seem to see a lot of stuff on eBay... Wouldn't mind some pens and caps for free though... I have a 2014 RIAT lanyard to start my collection :)

I have to chuckle at this thread.

Do you guys actually use the swag? I don't see the point in collecting it for the sake of it just sitting there.

I never use it! I'm actually a little embarrassed to wear a hat with breitling (or any other watch brand) emblazoned across it. Seems a bit ostentatious?

I wore the cap to an airshow once, but never had the inclination to wear it anywhere else.

I feel like a target for theives....
