Saw the advert in my AOPA Pilot magazine this month: http://www.aopa.org/Landing-Pages/breit ... navitimer#

I *just* bought a Navitimer GMT and was thinking about getting an Emergency 2... Breitling, why do you keep making watches I want!? :wowzers

that AOPA logo probably isn't their fault, quite hideous.

I understand AOPA is an aviation association. But what does "AOPA" mean?

Yikes. Can't blame Breitling for the evolution of the AOPA logo, but it is way too big on that dial.

It's certainly not the subtlest of logo sizes (it's clearly the BIG PRINT VERSION), and it desperately needs a black date wheel, but it's not too bad looking IMO. Let's be honest here - Breitling have made a lot worse in recent years!

Well yes, but should that be our standard?

We have long questioned design decisions, I just find the logo size on this one to be out of proportion, spoiling what might otherwise have been a modern classic.

Black datewheel needed
Hideous red hands need to be taken off
AOPA logo needs to be a lot smaller and applied
It needs a rice bead bezel
Etc etc

If youre going to make a commemorative piece please make it nice

another "it could have been worse" launch.
true, but it should have been the rebirth of an icon, just like the Unitime.

Really like the all black dial with red sub dial hands, improves contrast and readability (nothing worse than polished markers/hands on black dials). I'm sure they wanted the AOPA logo to stand out, not a problem for me. White date wheel looks a little out of place, otherwise a good variation of the Navitimer.

 Fair point!

Really this watch should've been plain black (including date wheel!) with simple gold or silver hands, markers and a tastefully sized gold AOPA logo. IMO of course.

Sensational. Logo is a little big perhaps, but let's see it in the flesh. Happy with the white date wheel and the red font on black. Great idea to reconnect with the APOA.

It won't be on my shopping list however as theres too much vintage here. It was an opportunity to do a modern interpretation missed.
