The only issue I had noticed was the crown sticking occasionally. I assumed it was probably a fairly easy fix so I called the boutique to discuss it. That's when I was asked to return the watch so it could be sent back to Switzerland.

When I bought mine they had one other titanium and one Night Mission (looked great by the way). All three have been returned to the factory.

That's all I know at this stage. Everyone has been very apologetic, and they say they're doing all they can to have a replacement back to me by the end of the month so hopefully they'll be shipping pre-orders then too?

Having only had the watch on my wrist for 36hrs I'm obviously quite keen to get it back as soon as possible, t was an instant favourite!

Anyway, if I hear anything else I'll let you know.

The chopped off "10" aside (which has bothered me since it came out), I think this is a stunningly handsome watch. Shame it's had to go back already though. Hope it all gets sorted out soon.

It's back, and so far its perfect!

Thanks again to Aine (spelt correctly this time!) from the London Boutique.

And credit must also go to Switzerland for delivering the replacement in less than 6 days.

I'm away on business for the next few days but I will as promised post pics when I can. But please don't let that stop you from replying with inventive emoticons...

I'll finish by saying if you're interested in the B50, go and get hands on, because pictures don't do it justice (and no I don't work for Breitling, I work for Jaguar).

Cheers

Hi Al,

Thanks for the update.

Really can't wait to get mine now given what you've said about seeing it in the flesh. Think I will be phoning my AD in 5 mins!

Cheers,

Chris

I like it, bu I'm not sure how I feel about another proprietary charger I can lose, break, or leave in a hotel room.

Just looking at the pics again (and salivating)
Are the numbers on the bezel acid etched or engraved?
they don't look very deep?

Good question. It must be etched, it's nowhere near as deep as the engraved bezels I own / have owned.

Traditionally I re-brush my bezels (I made a very simple tool to brush a circular pattern using masking tape to protect the crystal, a kids rubber arrow tip, a cocktail stick and some scotchbrite) and then re-enamelled the numbers when appropriate with a fine sable brush and white or black enamel - Emergency 1, BR03 88 etc. You can achieve OEM finish with good prep and some patience.

The finish on the B50 doesn't give that option, but it may well be more durable than my previous bezels.

We'll see.

Hmmm. That's a little bit worrying for anyone who might want to buy a used one in 5+ years. Any moderate scuffs may "remove" the bezel numbers. I'm purely speculating, of course. A well worn B50 might need a new bezel if it can't be brushed back to OEM standard.
