The man selling it says it's a Breitling Colt A17035, serial #10623. It's very pretty and I am interested in going to see it but was wondering what your thoughts were on it? I have looked and looked and searched trying to find another watch like it and have not come across the same watch. Number 1, is it real and number 2, is that a decent price?

Real watch with aftermarket diamonds. No way of knowing whether diamonds are real or what the quality is.

ok, thanks for your reply, guess the cost would or should be based more on the value of the diamonds? I have another question, would anyone service this watch for me? I was told that Breitling or any jeweler would not service the watch if it has "after market parts".

Wouldn't be surprised if Breitling g refused to touch it and no one else has access to Breitling parts so you would end up with a generic ETA movement service further reducing the value from the damage that has already been done.

So would you recommend not buying it? Is it worth the asking price? Or should I just keep looking?

I was also looking at this watch, might this be a better option?

Also, is the craigslist watch a "mechanical" watch? I know the Breitling-Colt-Oceane-II has a quartz movement, correct?

First is mechanical, second is real, quartz and factory diamonds.

Which one, if either, you buy is up to you.

Thanks for all of your help. I really like the Breitling watches better than any of the other manufacturers. I went yesterday to a watch store and tried on a Tag Huer Aquaracer that was very pretty but a lot more money than these Breitlings I showed you. I just don't want to spend too much money on a watch that may not hold it's value. I am leaning towards the Craigslist Colt but haven't even seen it yet in person.

Confused…

The Craigslist link is now broken...404. But the eBay listing is legit. That watch is original, but the papers indicate it fell into the grey market, warranty is invalid. Explains the good price.
