Hi,

Think I may have been a little rash! Please can you tell me have I just bought a fake? E-bay item 281407168609 ( http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Vintage-Breit ... 1407168609 ).... and if not, how much am I going to have to pay to get this repaired, approx?

Sitting here with fingers crossed!!!

Many thanks,
Andy

It's real. Missing the crown, but real.

Many thanks to Sharkman for easing my mind!

Another question or two, if anyone can help....Is it a common thing for the crown to come off?

If I get a replacement crown is repairing it a case of replacing the 'O' rings and screwing it back?? OR is it usually more involved?

Thanks
Andy

Not common, not unheard of.

Repair should be done through Breitling as there could be all kinds of things going on besides the missing crown and at the least the crown stem needs to be inspected.

Thank you Roffensian for your good advice.

I was just working on the thought pattern that if someone had the watch in their hand and the crown came off. The first thing they would do is to try and put it back on! BUT.... With watches of this value (and higher) fiddling is probably not a good idea!

Thanks again to Sharkman and Roffensian.
Regards,
Andy
