I just bought this watch and the top looks clean but one of the lugs pictured has a chip in it... I have about 40 hours to decide if I want to return it... Would you return it based on this chip? Is it going to be a functional issue?

Is this a watch that you could easily buy again? If so, then just return it. If it's something that you don't see for sale too often, just keep it. It's on the underside of the lug anyway.

Don't see how a spring bar would come out - the bar is still the weak point. Assuming that the watch isn't new / under warranty and it's not a real functional issue, but if there are plenty more out there then why settle?

I saw this post over on TRF I would send it back. The scratches from strap changes are not as serious as the chip out of the lug.

I would return it also, if the springbar hole is damaged.
