This is my first post on this Forum platform, although I often referred to the Forum before. This time I wonder whether I could find anybody who can give Information about the setting of the month at the Venus 191. The calendar pushers are at 8 and 10 and the lower one seems to be for the date (Hand with red arrow) and the upper one for the week-day. However, I cannot set the month.
From the ranfft page I learned that the month should be possible to set by the pusher at 10 and the week-day by turning the crown. However, this is quite different to my watch. Is there anybody with a ref. 785 with a Venus 191, who can give some clarifications in this regard?
Please refer to the Pictures below. I know that the dial as well as the case is not in a good shape, but the movement (time and chrono) works well.

yes, pusher at 10 sets month - when further depressed also day. 8 sets date.

tricky, as the day setting lever tends to be stuck, watch needs service and maybe some fabbing/altering to function flawlessly.

sad cleaning attempt on that dial.

Dear Fred,

thanks for the quick response, but I would expect that your description rather suits to the Valjoux 72C, which I would expect is different to the Venus 191.
But I may be wrong.

Very best regards
Markus

you asked. I replied. choose to do with this whatever you wish. the R72C does NOT offer day of week setting by pusher.

Yes I am convinced now! Beautiful piece! Congrats and sorry for my doubts!
So it seems, that beside a re-finish of the dieal (most likely at Causemann in Germany) and a re plague of the case, I have also to organize some movement repair. Unfortunately, due to the fact that the 191 is wuite rare this migh become a problem.
From your member info i could see that you are from Vienna. To whoom give you usually your breitling watches (vintages) for services?

all my Breitlings travel to the US. search for posts about member chronodeco, he has just serviced my cal. 191, was among the more complicated restorations, but he knows very, very well what he's doing.

refinishing dials corectly is another issue, though Causemann might be a good choice for this dial, he should have the correct Breitling capitals logo, his script logo is off.

Craig/chronodeco also has an excellent case refinisher, but both International Dial and Kirk, the US dial refinisher we used to work with can't be recommnded.

Dear Fred, thanks for the help. I know Craig, as I bought his beautiful 769 in 18k 2 years ago. My loveliest Piece. Did You have any Problems so far with Customs when you received the serviced watches from the US?
