I have an evolution which I wear all the time. Recently, the date change suddenly started turning at 8:00 p.m. rather than midnight. The watch is not damaged from shocks or impacts. I've tried recalibrating the watch by manually running the date through a 31-day calendar cycle plus running the hands through a 24 hour cycle in the hope of re-calibrating the date change. No luck.

Any thoughts?

If the watch needs servicing, is it a simple adjustment or an expensive repair?

Thanks

If it always use to change at midnight and has only just started changing at 8pm then it is likely an indication of a broken / bent date wheel tooth, which 99% of the time is caused by changing the date during the 'danger zone'. Not an expensive fix as part of a service because it is just the replacement of a wheel, but not fixable otherwise.

A friend of mine had a similar issue sorted out by Breitling two years ago as part of overhaul service with no extra charge.
