Toady I received a Breitling Pro 3 bracelet from authentic watches.com. It was sealed in vacuumed sealed plastic with Breitling logo on it and looks legit. This company only sells authentic products so they claim. So I opened the package and fitted the bracelet to my watch went to remove some links and.... screws are tight. Finally get them off and... Rusty screws? How can this be possible Breitling Seawolf avenger 2 has a depth rating of 10000ft and my bracelet screws are rusty out of the package? So I called the GOOD AD ive dealt with recently in Tronto and they were happy to answer my questions and were very polite. They even went on to Authentic watches.com to look. They said its very unlikely if not impossible for the screws on an authentic Breitling Bracelet to be rusty. Just as I had thought because I own a pilots bracelet with the same screws. The TO AD had said Breitling does not supply any non authorized dealers parts and accessory's with that being said grey market dealers can get watches why not bracelets? Our conclusion to the conversation was that the pro 3 bracelet is a 2 or 3 year old product max and no way could these screws rust inside of a vacuum sealed package or out for that matter. Are they made of a least 316L stainless steel. So I called authentic watches.com after I sent the pictures and they had told me this is impossible and I was the one whom opened the package. I relayed all the info from the Toronto service center and they agreed to take in back to inspect it as not all the screws where removed and they will see the rust on the untouched ones for them self's. Now I wait patiently for a refund or some explanation. My question is could Breitling have or had a quality control problem? Are these screws and or bracelet authentic. Looks legit to me. By no means am I a seasoned watch professional. This company prides it self with claims of selling only authentic watches and accessory's. My thought was if the bracelet was cleaned in an ultra sonic in the manufacturer stage and not dry then put in the package maybe this is what happens? I know china can make some nice copys but I couldn't say this looks legit as well the PRO 2 bracelet was not exactly know to be a quality bracelet.. Any comments or experience with Breitling quality control or general thoughts appreciated . http://www.authenticwatches.com/brei...l#.U5I71vldXsY

Nice watch! I've had many successful purchases from AW and never had an issue. It looks like Loctite though, you don't have to worry about that. I'm not saying your lying but I am not sure how the screws would be rusty on a new watch. I would just wear that watch and enjoy it!

100% Loctite, would be more concerned if it wasn't there.

FYI Loctite is a kind of glue used by multiple brands (Rolex for example) to hold the screws in place while wearing the watch. If Loctite would not be used, the screws would unscrew after a while because of wearing the watch. So, don't worry. Perfectly normal. With Rolex, the Loctite is white BTW.

There is loctite present yes . This application I am familiar with. The threads had rust on them as well. Kinda hard to see in the pictures . If you zoom on the far left you can kinda see. You have to take my word. Yes loctite present in mass amounts . The problem is that it or moisture had started to corrode the threads and thread tubes. My picture suck so not much point in trying to force anyone to believe corrosion is present. I will update when AW inspect and send me an update. Thanks for those whom replied .

Even if it is rust, what could happen? It's just the screws, and you won't ever see them when they are screwed into the bracelet. Like I said I wouldn't worry about it.

If it's actually rust, I'd be upset too.

AW called to let me know they contacted their source being Breitling . The verdict is the head of the screw is stainless steel and the threaded part is copper . In turn the un proper mixture of the loctite was used, separated and more moisture was trapped and created black oxidation. I'm taking their word and not contacting Breitling for confirmation. The sad part is the AD original told me the screws are all stainless and they would not do this . In turn sometime ADs don't know what they are talking about. I was given a refund minus my fees.

Didn't handle Pro3, but I can bet it's lower quality than Pro2.
