Listen, mechanical movements do break and do need some service after time. The Breitling was my first ever really expensive watch. To have it break so soon after purchase and then come back with one issue fixed but another created was insane. 2 of my friends also like my watch so much that each purchased it for themselves and their chrono broke on one watch and the other guys whole movement just stopped winding. That is not normal and I can gaurnetee you a mass produced rolex will not do that in the first few years.

LOL, how can you possibly say in one sentence that mechanical movements break etc. and in the next Guarantee that a Rolex would not....

It seems like you need more experience with mechanical watches. I also feel you should think before crapping all over a brand most here love in one form or another. With that said, I guess no more Breitlings for you.... so no more Breitling source either? :lingsrock:

You kidding me? A new watch shouldnt break. If it does break its a garbage movement. It was mine plus 2 more so that makes 3 watches with a B01. Mechanical movements do break after years of use..hence you get it serviced. My rolex and anyone else I know that owns one never breaks. They keep great time. My panerai and all the other people I know with them also havent had theirs break. The people I know with a breiting do break and break often. Hence their 5 year warranty. You bought one watch and think you know brands? I have already owned and experiecned more than you will in your life time with mechanical watches. Go read up on the blogs about others experieces since you will never know for yourself. back seat driver.

Cute response. You have no idea what you are saying. Also, my dad can beat your's up.

Have a great life!

Um, what you don't know, and what you clearly don't want to know, is there are MANY current and former Rolex and Panerai members here and plenty of members who are also members of TRF and Paneristi. What you also don't know, and clearly don't want to know, is this is not a Breitling fanboy site and and some of the large fora with Breitling sub-fora hold us up to some ridicule for bashing the brand when bashing is in order. What you don't know, and clearly don't want to know, is many high end manufacturers have "issues" with new manufacture movements. I saw reference above to the Omega Coaxial when it was rolled out. Also, the 33XX Chrono movements. We are well aware there have been some bugs with the new manufacture movements which is to be expected unfortunately. The same is true with many other brands. *If* you believe Rolex and Panerai are better than, for example, JLC, because they keep their value better than you are not by any means a WIS. As I noted above, I've had several Rollie's - love 'em. Also a couple Panerai - turned out not to be my style.

The point of my post about issues with a Rolex and Panerai was true, but tongue-in-cheek because it represents antecdotal experience. I cannot claim Paneria sucks because 50% of those I owned broke within the first day anymore than you can claim Breilting sucks becaue of your singular, or a couple "friends," experience.

And by doing so you are making a bit of a fool out of yourself, young man. Now get off to your room. There will be no supper for you tonight.

Hey, cut the kid some slack. Maybe he does own more timepieces than, Fred, the man who owns more fine timepieces than just about anyone on the face of the earth.

I wonder if the OP disclosed what a broken POS the FF was when he traded it for the Pam 320. Methinks not!

I think his definition of in-house movement is taking a dump at home.

Gentlemen, there are rules here about treatment of other members. Even if some people invite it we tend to try and rise above the mudslinging, I think Fred nailed it yesterday about not feeding trolls.

It is not easy to find an entertaining thread these days.
Well done FlyingFish44!
Gents, control yourselves a little. I don't want to see this thread locked.
Hoping to get a few more chuckles out of it yet.
