Just arrived on ebay.
Assume this is the wrong case back?
Also small seconds hand looks like a replacement?

809 has the 24 hr. dial. This watch is wrong as the price is wrong by the seller. I will politely let them know. :guns:

I had posted a similar query last year about a 806 with 809 caseback but there seemed to be no conclusive answers. Now that's a second example with similar attributes, so maybe Kurt could enlighten us if was something that could have occurred when they transitioned?

The first question I ask on these is whether the movement runs as a 24 hour watch or a 12 hour watch. Often seller just make sure they run and don't check the hour hand carefully. I have seen enough of these 809 806's over the years to think they were made that way but they almost always have the 24 hour movement. Less desireable than a 'normal' version? I'd say so.

The serials also seem to be relatively quite close to about 30,000 chronos. Wonder what serials the Cosmonautes start at.
Example 1: ser 990811
Example 2: ser 1020672

minusing the two = approx 30k watches between each other, the 30k I understand is all types of Breitling chronos, not just Cosmos and Navis.

You're ignoring non chrono and not sure that I would consider separation of a year or so "relatively close".

Cheers Roff, any idea what serials the earliest Cosmos are seen at?

Another one!

Some surely must be 'cobbled' together with wrong case backs dials etc?
