Hi there,

I just returned from a trip to Turkey and bought myself a Wolf with black dial and leather strap.
I was looking for an Omega planet Ocean and didn't do any homework on Breitling because we don't have a local AD and the brand was unfamiliar.

When I spotted the Wolf I just had to buy it and although I was flying blind in unknown skies I paid 2700U$ for the timepiece.

I'm not a flashy guy and likes the Ti look and weight.

I now found out that there's a new version of the wolf in stainless.

Do you guys think I paid a fair price? How does the Ti model compares strenghtwise to the stainless version?

I would like to put my mind to rest, because I keep wondering if I made the right desicion although I'm extremely happy with my watch.

I'm a classic type of guy in my late twentys and inherited a 1942 Harley Davidson flathead which I'm crazy about.

Here's the best way.

Quote:
Since this Forum software that I am using doesn't allow uploading yet in current versions (The PhpBB3 that is in Beta right now will allow image uploading!) We have to upload images to a third-party site like Photobucket.com in order to upload images.

1. Go to http://www.photobucket.com and open an account.
2. Upload your images there.
3. Get the code from that page where it says "IMG Code - Forums & Bulletin Boards" And paste that into your post, and voila! Your photo will appear.

Johan,

Welcome to our little group of Ling loons. I think you paid
a fair price for your Seawolf, although I'm not crazy about
titanium. :? I plan on buying a ss 'Wolf in 5 or 6 months, as a
companion for my Steelfish. (You can never have too many diver's
watches, right?) I've also got an Omega Planet Ocean, and it's
a splendid watch as well. Don't know which one I love most.

Your vintage Harley sounds fantastic! Love to see some pics of it and
your Seawolf. :)

Steve

I've been to Turkey a ton of times. Where were you?

The $2700 is a fantastic price on the Airwolf. The US Retail on leather is $3945.

Welcome aboard and enjoy your beautiful new watch! :D

Johan, Was it an Airwolf or a Seawolf you bought? I guess
there's a little confusion on the issue. But whichever piece
you bought, you got a great deal. Enjoy. :)

I'm assuming Seawolf as that's the title of the thread.

Still a decent price - 20 - 25% discount depending on what it's equipped with in terms of strap / bracelet.

Fair price for the seawolf, and an excellent choice. Titanium is very strong. Congrats, and enjoy your new piece.

Welcome Johan and congratulations!

I think you made a good deal - assuming you bought it from an AD with all papers and not on the street of course. Titanium matches steel quite well. It is a bit softer than steel, but on the other hand it's also a bit tougher. Hope you sort out the pic posting!

Thanks to all of you for the advice.
can't believe I've missed out on all this fun all my life!

I bought the seawolf in Kusadasi at O.K Jewelers. ( All papers and cert. incl.) Really nice salesperson with the name of Matt. That's another reason why I decided on the Ling, this guy was so friendly, even offered some Turkish coffee while I decided between the Seawolf and Skyland.

It's very interesting to see that there's a lot of you guys out there that allready own EXACTLY all the different makes of watches that I looked at before buying the Ling: Omega Planet Ocean and Seamaster 300m, Tag Heuer Aquaracer, Avenger Skyland etc..

Felt good to show my wife that I'm not the only person in the world with a weakness for a nice watch!!

My next big mission is to someday get my hands on a Blackbird ! !

Hope all of you have a great day
