After some thoughts / experiences / personal tastes etc... on this one!

Thinking of panda dial 806's in particular with blackened batons but otherwise v. good dials.

Would you or wouldn't you and how easy is it to get it done?

Specialist work I would assume.

I should add that, personally, I like the dials to be original but was after others thoughts on the subject incl. any affect on value, who can do it etc...??

IMO, I think resuming hands is OK, dials not so much, depending in value and rarity. That's on the assumption that the lume on the hands is gone and you can see through the hand, as on your example. If the hands were fully intact with old lume, I would leave it alone.

I work on the assumption that on the hands, the relume process could be "reversed" if you really wanted it to be. I think for a dial, you need to remove all the old lume first, so you can never get it back to how you found it and some would argue that's a no-no on a watch like this.

My hands are not quite see through yet! Just very blackened. I think I'll leave all alone.
