Hi
This Navi 806 watch is being offered for sale on the web. No serial number but looks to be mid sixties. Twin jet model.
The case is all stainless steel but the movement (see pic) would appear to be from a gold model?
Am I mistaken?

correct "gilded" Venus 178 looks - the same for SS, GP or 18k watches.

Thanks Fred.
So the movement is correct. Does the gilding apply to the surround as well? Thought surround would be SS? Excuse my dodgy terminology!
Is gilding any rarer or more sought after than non gilded?
Thanks.

no, the case is SS - just looks a bit "gilded" due to the lighting/refelections; all seems correct.
gilding of the movements was one of the finishing options, and these were used in the Navitimers, we see a mixture of finishes with other models.
