Not in the sense of finding NOS 769 etc. slide rules but in helping refinishing those damaged or with paint faded or simply making new ones. The solution might not be the best choice for purists, but how many pieces survived in excellent condition ? So why not enjoying such a beauty from the past ?

I've been in the same situation restoring a 769 and visiting the forums pages was at some point essential.
In return, i thought i should help those in need of course.

I'm on my last stage in assembling my watch and i was interested if the 769 had a flat no logo crown or a 5.9 / 6 mm crown ? Also, considering the oversized bezel, the crown has to be a few mm off crown tube as the crown would rub the bezel.
The old crown that came with the watch, as it was, was rubbing the bezel and it was welded to the stem. It was a no logo crown.
I'm now waiting for the stem but the only crown that i have is a vintage B logo one.

Regards

Played around with a couple more rings today; cleaning off burrs and making them paint ready. Just had to put one in the bezel to make sure all was fitting just right.

(insert happy dance smiley here)

Dave , any chance you can show the finished ring ? , I am looking for one as well
