hi all

Thanks for your help in my earlier post, my mind pretty much made up.
I'm going for the Heratige Chrono 44 with green case and silver dial with steel mesh strap. Ticks all my boxes and with the Green Bezel, (a little like the green Sub but its not a Rolex which isn't a brand or design I particularly like.)

What sort of discount is considered acceptable, I'm not out to get it for nothing of course, but im sure Breitling ADs (and all others) place a significant markup on their shelf prices.

Last 2 questions. :o
I see some posts here about watches gaining or loosing a significant amount, is there a reason for this as I was told each and every Breitling is sent for individual COSC testing..?

If the Bezel becomes scratched is this a replaceable part if not any idea how Scratch resistant they are..?

Paul

Impossible to advise on pricing without knowing where you are. Depending on the market 15% or so is reasonable these days.

As I said a few days ago, watches are not COSC certified, the movements are before they are cased up. COSC specs state -4/+6 seconds per day and any Breitling should settle in that range unless it has a problem or needs servicing. However, when a watch is new, or immediately after a service, it will need to settle over a period of several weeks. That will generally result in the watch slowing so a new watch that is faster than +6 per day is not a cause for concern.

The bezel is replaceable but is scratch resistant and scratches don't usually expose bare metal but maintain the colour.

thank you sir

I Will be purchasing from the Caribbean UK dealers have given me nothing 3 different ADs say there is no movement possible in the price (when I very politely enquired) which I find just incredulous as we all know there is a significant mark-up added.

Have you tried the UK sponsor ADs - Andrew Michaels and Banks Lyon?
