According to the prices on Watchinsider (and at the current FX rate), the Navi 46mm will be circa £5700 GBP (on calf leather).... which is a bit, but not too bad considering you now have to pay double that for an IWC BP which isn't a chronograph and is highly unlikey to keep decent time. Considering the Navi 46 is my grail Breitling, I'll be prepared to cough up that much for one.

At the current exchange rate, that's what, 1.6*5700=$9,120?

That is not terrible. I suspect add another $1,000 for the bracelet. All in all, the size plus the transparent case back, it's a good value.

Now, my problem is that I am fairly confident - because this is how Breitling operates - that they'll produce a two - tone version next year after I've already parted with the cash for the stainless model (beautiful in its own right). And yet I am powerless to resist.......

Sigh. I guess that is why I show up at my job each day.....it's as good a reason as any to keep running with the rats.

Tangentially, I was thinking this morning that way back in December of 2003, I paid roughly $3,600 for my Crosswind Special LE white/two-tone on two-tone pilot. Now those were the good old days.

Justin-

thanks for the pictures and making me want the new Navi 46mm even more.

After the announcement I couldn't wait to the see the Navi GMT in 48mm, and thought that is def the Navi for me. But after seeing the pictures of it in the wild I agree with the sentiment here that the dial seems a bit off due to its size. So I think the Navi 46mm is next. But I will still go try both of them on of course. Now I just have to sell a kidney on the blackmarket. Anyone in need??

Those Colts are more like it - that was one bezel experiment that clearly didn't work. Looks like quartz only for the chrono, wonder about the three hander.

Shame that we have to wait until 2024 for the non chrono though Fred  (said as someone who has never made a typo in their life :-) )

Edited for typo (ironically)

Colt looks great, any idea of size and lug width? Or price?

I was going to buy an avenger gmt tomorrow even though the polished finished irked me, will wait for these colts now, probably more affordable too.

NOW I can say 2014 clearly falls into the win category. I still want a Superocean that looks like a Brielting, now more than ever - the new Superoceans stick out like a sore thumb in the former Aeromarine range. But like eveything else in life, we don't always get what we want, but if we try sometime, we just might find....

But I have one question....

The bezel hash marks are AGAIN a slightly contrasting color to the stainless steel. Is that due to rubber inclusions as well?

Somebody has to have the answer, as this looks like a trend.

The new auto Colt three-hander is VERY nice indeed. That's a PROPER Breitling! Just the right combination of "Breitling-busyness" with classic clean lines. Nice to see no rubber inserts in the bezel either. That's a winner right there.

The Colt Chrono is OK (for a quartz :poke: ), but again these days I don't like boxes around 4:30 date windows, or with contrasting colour date wheels - it should be as unobtrusive as possible in that position as I just think it unbalances the dial otherwise. That aside, it's another proper Breitling.
