In house quartz is very surprising, that it would be called the Cockpit is even more surprising given that was a very different model recently.

I assume that the Blackbird (another odd name choice) is another DLC piece - nothing surprising there.

Edit - even weirder given B50 is an old caliber designation. Are these names from a credible source?

I think we saw that "Avenger Blackbird 48" in the Baselworld thread here yesterday (page 5), although no-one had a name for it then.

That "Cockpit" looks suspiciously like a Photoshopped E2 to me......

Last year the OP posted several of the Basel announcements before they were posted so I wouldn't be surprised if his information is correct.

Not doubting the releases, the name (especially the Cockpit) is what is throwing me.

Well we know the DLC Avenger is real, so I'm not disputing that the Cockpit is real too. However I still think that as a watch it looks like a Photoshopped E2. :?

It'll be interesting if it really is an in-house quartz piece. I would've expected a big more of a fanfare (like the Navis) if it was. I guess we shall see.

Why did they move the Blackbird to the Avenger line? I would have loved to see a newer BB Chronomat with an updated all black dial and brushed finish. Also a new faceted pilot bracelet would be sick! The Cockpit to me also shares the same lines as the E2, I like it!

That's just bizarre.

They didn't, just the name. It would appear just to be another Blacksteel.

Just confusing then that they change the names within their different ranges. :poke:

Agreed...........but I also quite like it. The only thing is, it looks so much like the E2, I'm concerned about the size it'll be. If it's 44 to 46mm, then great, and it could actually be a practical pilots watch like the Aerospace/Airwolf, etc. But if it's 48mm+, then it'll be way too large for practical use.

Well it wouldn't be a Breitling without it being DLC'd sooner or later!

Any word on the size Maz?

Rechargeable battery, eh? Wonder how long it lasts between charges.

If it's the same size as the E2 I will cry, and I don't mean tears of joy.
