I also like how the larger navi with the display back has a black date wheel. I was never a fan of the white date wheel on the original LE. 48MM is huge for the GMT!!

Surprised they made the in house navi world in 48!!! That's an odd move no?

A mid size case would have differentiated the World and the GMT a bit more but I guess that it's consistent with the larger Navi announcement.

But there isn't much of a difference between the standard navi and your proposed 44mm navi. I think going 46 was smart, but they could have stayed at 46 for the world also, 48mm was a bad move IMO. The world and navi are different enough that they could have used the same case. I don't get it, the proportions of the dial are really weird.

The 46mm Navi and the 48mm World are out of my league as far as my wrist size is concerned.
Hopefully this will propel sales for Breitling.
As for the Chronomat, well, my Chronomat B01 LE already gets the biggest share of my wrist time as it is, yes, even with the Buck Rogers bezel. I somehow got used to it and it does not bother me at all now. It is also part of my "trifecta", the first three Breitling models with the Cal 01 in house movement and all three in a LE.
Somehow I don't see myself flipping my Chronomat 01 LE for this new model, even though it does look nice.
Interesting to see that they made the Chronomat Airborne as a Limited Series and not a Limited Edition, leaving it fully open as to how many will be produced.
Clever I guess. Leave the options open and just fit the right bezel depending on demand ;-)

I can't play the videos as I'm at work, but what I can say is that the 46mm Navi COMPLETELY makes up for the disappointments of recent years for me! WELL DONE BREITLING!

I'll have to see the Navi GMT in person as the 48mm may be a little too large, but again, it's a great forward step IMO.

I also really like the new(old) bezel for the Chronomat (rubber inserts though?), plus I really like the vintage lume (as per the Frecce Tricolori). However, if was to be ultra critical (and let's face it, I will!), I could've done without the chrome outline to the date window. I'm not a fan of 4:30 date positions at the best of times, but if they are hidden away as much as possible (i.e. black wheel, no border, etc) I can live with them, but the chrome outline draws a little too much attention to it IMO. But that's a minor point really. All in all 3 great new pieces!!!

I don't like that they changed the subs on the world from 12 9 6. It looks too much like the 01.
Does any one know if they are doing any other colors or just black:

I'm excited about the new world, and look forward to trying it on. Also I love how they did a Navi 01 in 46mm, overall very pleased with the offering so far!

Good call, that was a huge mistake. Is it that difficult to modify the movement? They've only had 4 years or so to make that change. Lack of attention to detail IMO.

So far the 3 releases have been a big miss for me. The 46mm navi is nothing more than a wider slide rule. The GMT is awful, and the chronomat with rubber inserts?? Come on, but at least the bezel is a lot nicer and the vintage looking lume is really cool.

Overall I grade them with a C+ so far.

I think we will need to see the watches in real life before we can say that 46 or 48 is too big. I'll try both watches on on Monday and let you know if it really "feels and looks" like a 46 and 48. The Special Series is, as I said a few weeks ago, a test to see if the new old bezel sells better that the Buck Rogers one. If not, no problem, it is a Special Series... If it does, and probably will, they'll change the bezel to the new old one but only after a certain timeframe off course.

I have always loved the look and finish of the Navi as it is such a timeless and classic look. But it has always been a bit to small for my taste, Hopefully the size of the case doesn't affect that. But a Navi GMT in a 48mm with an in house movement is just perfect IMO!!!! I know I am not a purist by any means when it comes to 40-44mm sizes as I always lean and always have to a much larger watch. But in the next few years this will def be added to my collection. Absolutely love it.

What I don't understand with the in house all being tricompax is that when it was first launched Breitling made a point of saying that it had been designed to support both 3/6/9 and 6/9/12. I have a hard time believing that 5 years later when we haven't seen any evidence to support it.

Rubber inserts are a negative on the Chronomat bezel, but still a quantum leap forward (backward?) in my mind from Buck Rogers. I guess it's now down to consumers to vote as to which bezel style they prefer.

Because diameter is less of an issue for me I am not too hung up on 48mm for the GMT but I do think that ADs are going to have a tough time explaining it to uneducated buyers who are looking at that or the World. Visually and functionally very similar (other than subdial layout) but likely with a significant price discrepancy because of the in house movement. That would have made more sense if the World were being discontinued.

Still, all minor points compared with my thoughts from the last few years!

Navi 46 will come in black with silver subs as well as blue dial, and the World will come in black as well as all silver dial.

I agree that the releases this far are an improvement. 46 or 48mm doesn't mean anything to me as both are out of my range. Do we know for a fact the Chronomat has rubber inserts? But it's back to a brushed bezel and a nice font on the rider tabs. Still big news IMO. A big improvement and getting rid of the the square on the dial is a big move too IMO.

Still waiting on news for the SO and Colt lines. If Breitling wants to boost sales numbers in the entry line models, there is work to be done.

I missed the rubber inserts on the chronomat.......so close!!! I still like the overall look of the watch, but would prefer it without those inserts.
