Wondered if anyone could confirm whether Breitling make a 22/18mm rubber strap for deployant - ie 22 at the lugs, 18 at the deployant. I think not, but just want to check.

The situation is that I have bought from someone a 20/18mm diver pro II on deployant. It was advertised as 22/20mm. I wanted it for my Steelfish but obviously it doesn't fit. I've already arranged to return it but I am loathe to do so as I have coveted one for ages. (I know I could have gone to an AD but I think they are around £300ish new so I wanted a used one.)

Possible solution - get a 22/18mm strap. If anyone could confirm whether Breitling offers an OEM in that size or knows if any other manufacturer does (Omega for Planet Ocean maybe?) then please shout.

Thanks.

There is no OEM Breitling 22/18.

There used to be leather ones but they haven't been made for years.

Thanks Roff.

Any insight as to an alternative?

How about trimming down a 22/20 DPII width wise at the deployant end to make it fit. Is that feasible or more likely to result In an unholy mess?

I would go with your aftermarket / custom strap of choice before I started hacking at one. An aftermarket rubber strap that is designed to be 22/18 is going to look better than an OEM one that someone took a knife to.

No experience with aftermarket rubber straps so either follow advice of existing threads here or wait for someone else to suggest options.
