Thanks Fred, I too don't think yours will have the Breitling watch co mark but you never know since yours is the English version, will be interesting to know.

Wow, where did you get that beauty? So there were 785s without stepped lugs too? Haven't seen this variation before, will be great to learn about it, which year from?

incompatible movements, so different cases for the Venus variants; 1951, applied "B" dial.

Can't wait to read more about it Fred! So were there also Venus triple date variants from 1945 to 1947 alongside the V72 ones? If so, they wouldn't have had stepped lugs?

Hi guys, received good news from Craig, he says everything looks good and original and that the watch is running well and keeping proper time. He reckons it had a recent service (he said the inner caseback also has what looks like a watchmakers 2013 service date). So in short, he said it doesn't require a service, now how Honest is that! Good on you Craig, love your honesty and offcourse your skills!

He also made sure everything is real Gold including the bracelet which he confirmed is 14kt gold, and weighs in at 34 gms and said is a nice one.

Now the only thing I require is to find a jeweler who can resize it since is not easily resizable. It seems it can possibly be shortened but it has very small pins that would require a jeweler to do it. I know exactly the person who I can send it to in Hong Kong, so guess that's next for the bracelet!
