Right guys, I'm looking for suggestions for a nice quality watch box that'll take up to, say, 6 watches. I've got a small number of manual wind watches and while my autos are all kept on winders, my manual watches either go back in their original box or just sit in a drawer when they're out of rotation.

What I'm looking for is a nice quality wooden watch box, not too fancy, but with a decent build. I tend to like solid boxes (i.e. no glass display windows) and I hate foam inserts for the watches as I think it looks a bit cheap. For an idea of what I normally go for, my taste in winders tends to be Orbita Sparta Deluxe in piano black - simple, good quality not ridiculously cheap but not Scatola Del Tempo levels.

Any ideas appreciated.

Maybe check out the Wolf ones Driver?

I haven't seen any of the boxes but as you'll know the winders are well reviewed (I have a Viceroy Triple which I'm very impressed by).

I would go with Rainer, bang for the buck is great. Altair posted some photos a while back.

You may want to check out Venlo watch cases, which I think are very nice. Here's an online retailer: http://www.pensandleather.com/venlo-cases/watch.aspx

Buben & Zorweg. I'm a big fan of their winders and boxes. Very high quality!

Thanks for the suggestions gents. Venlo were the only ones I hadn't heard of before (thanks for the heads up Moana43), and I have to say I'm pretty impressed by the pictures. I'm going to check them out some more.

The other ones I'm going to consider are Rapport. I had one of their winders (which I was very disappointed with given the price as it got noisy very quickly............, and then did exactly the same when it came back from the warranty repair), but the build quality of the box itself was very nice.

Well yeah me too, but their prices are a little too steep for my liking.

Have you decided yet Driver? While I'm not explicitly in the market right now, I will need to upgrade soon as my currently watch box is falling apart - hinge issues in particular have been annoying  I like boxes that have a lower compartment for straps and tools, so not sure if that's as important to you.

I do indeed like the looks, price and quality of the Rainer boxes.
