Hello Folks!
After my first "luxury" watch purchase in 2008 - A Breitling Super Avenger and then my next in 2011 - A Panerai Radiomir Black Seal, I have saved up enough for my third!!
Problem is - I am not "lusting" for any one particular watch as much as I did for my Breitling SA!

So I am looking for some suggestions from the members here with the following pointers -
A. Budget of about USD 10,000. Looking to buy from AD, cos buying used in Dubai is difficult to coordinate.
B. Has to be 44 mm diameter at least. Ideally 45mm and more.
C. Has to be wearable at work - with a suit. (I wear my SA Fridays and the Panerai on weekdays, so the watch need not strictly be a pure dress watch)

My considerations so far in order of preference.
1. Panerai Luminor 1950 PAM 422. 47 mm.
2. Zenith El Primero Big Date Chronograph

Help please!
Need suggestions in IWC Portuguese or Portofino but sizes were smaller than my 45 mm requirement.
What else should I consider?

Thanks!!

45mm+ 'dress' watches are not going to be that common. Is the Transocean too small at 43mm?

:-) Agree. Not a dress watch in the strictest sense. What I meant was something that was a "bit" muted.

Anyways, I pulled the trigger on my first choice - The Panerai Luminor Marina PAM 422 - 47 mm.

I thought the aggressive size balanced the simple dial styling of the Panerai's.

Bought it retail (Panerai offers NIL discount in Dubai) USD 10,788.

My IWC5001 wears bigger than the 42mm size so I would suggest trying that on. The 8 day Portofino is 45mm so that would meet your requirement.

Thanks. The AD only had that in Gold and didn't have the 8 day Portofino in Steel.

As I said, I fell for the Panerai Luminor Marina 1950 - the model they introduced 2012 which is inspired by the Luminor of 1940-50's. Retains the cushion case of the Radiomir and the crown protector of the Luminor. 47mm. In house P3001 movement with Power Reserve on case back.

Pulled the trigger on that one!ImageImage

White faced iwc yacht club where's very large and with the leather santoni strap becomes very dressy, or slap the rubber back on it for a more casual look!
