Hi

Ive been after a Breitling navitimer 01 black limited edition on a bracelet for a while now. Most of these watches end up in the usa and due to ridiculous customs duty & VAT 20% that we have to pay here in the United Kingdom (England), I've not been able to acquire one so far :(

Ive seen the white faced version for sale alot online recently, but really want the black classic version.

If i were to purchase a brand new (unworn) black faced navitimer limited edition on a steel bracelet, what would be a fairly reasonable price to pay for it? Many thanks

Given that these are very hard to come by, I would suspect that a reaonable price to pay would be whatever the seller is asking for it. ie take it or leave it.

And if you mean brand new unworn then it will mean hoping and praying that there is an AD somewhere who still has one, and if they do they'll be selling for list price.

Thanks for the quick replies. Someone has offered an ex-display model complete with box and papers for £4750. Is that a good price? Or is it too high? Want to get a good deal :)

If it's the watch you really want then I wouldn't worry too much on the deal part since you might have trouble finding another one.

Well for that price, if I was offered the opportunity I would jump on it.

I'm not sure what you mean by "ex display" either. Every new watch I have purchased from an AD has been "ex-display" When you point to the one in the cabinet that you want, that's the one you're going to get. And it may or may not have been handled by many different potential buyers previously. I can't imagine many ADs can afford to have display stock and non-display stock, I'm pretty sure all their stock would be on display. We're not talking about $100 seikos here!

That is what I would have thought also. However, when I went to buy my first Breitling (Navi World) around 6 years ago I negotiated a price which I accepted and was then told that I would have to wait 6-8 weeks for delivery as they wouldn't sell me the one in the display case as it was their last one of that model.

Needless to say, I ended up buying from elsewhere and this AD closed their doors here recently - I see you are also from Brisbane so you would know who!

That's not on at all! In fact I think most places would insist you took the one on display.

I can tell you for a fact that they don't do that at their other branches!

Are you sure you're getting a brand new Navi 01 LE edition on a bracelet for that price? if you are sure then go for it, the full retail price in the UK for the LE was about £6k on a calf and bracelet took it up almost into the £7k territory.

I'd definitely make sure that the deal isn't too good to be true sort of speak. I can't see why would they discount so much on a brand new Navi 01 LE so make sure you're getting what you expect.

Not a chance that is a new watch at that price, that's very little more than dealer cost.

Probably still a Navitimer Super Constellation or the non Manufacture Navi he still has lying around... Can't imagine it being a Navi 01, especially the LE. Still get demands for that watch and can't get them anymore through Breitling.

Well, what's wrong with the Super Constellation?
I spent 3 hours agonising and trying to decide between the Connie and the standard Navi 01. I opted for Connie in the end and four months later got a bargain on the Navi 01 LE, for much, much less than the Connie.
Obviously I paid way too much for the Connie but then that was 2 plus years ago.
Love them both though.

Wessa, don't get me wrong. I have nothing against the Super Constellation. I was only referring to the price the OP got for "a new Navitimer". Super Constellation is a very nice watch but wasn't as expensive as a Navi 01 is.

BTW, I'm talking about retail prices off course as I'm an AD. The Connie sold here for 5250 EUR while the Navi 01 sells for 6530 EUR depending on the combo you choose. Sounds like a good deal you had then on your Navi 01!

The LE 01 sold here for 7120 EUR on calf by the way... Price above is the regular 01.
