Actually the Superocean looks better blacked out, I don't mind it like that at all. And the Chronomat is great!

I really wish Breitling would get past the DLC thing.

Yeah that!
Apparently they sell. Sadly.

They sell very well. An AD I've talked to recently orders every blacksteel piece he can get, sells them quickly. I don't mind some of them, the chronospace automatic black version has a unique gray tone to it.

That Chronomat is really sharp looking. Some really great details on the dial. Especially the Jet GMT hand.

Being one of the few (the only one?) forum members owning and liking the Superocean II I must say that I don't like the DLC'ed version. The front of my own SOCII has a brushed matte finish whereas the sides of the case is polished. This finesse is totally blotted out by the DLC... Just too much black, IMHO it makes the watch look boring.

I'm a bit less optimistic the rubber bezel inserts are going away. I'll hold onto some hope - idealist that I am.

They look fine to me but hardly super exciting. I don't like rubber bezels and the DLC thing has been much talked about but nothing inherently wrong with the two models. If they sell then great!

Chrono Superocean is not for me until it gets the weekday feature back, DLC or not. Generally, DLC is not the best surface, if something black, then ceramic. Surface treatments are not for eternity, not the DLC and not the rubber coating (IWC).
Regarding bezels, TH could switch from rubber inlay to ceramic at the diver chronograph. It is hightime for Breitling to follow suit.

Nothing new, but the SOC blacksteel is not too bad. The Chronomat 44 GMT SE is pretty sharp looking. I can't wait to see it in person!
