Can someone help me with this watch. Where can i find the serial number or what model it is. I think it is obout 40-45 years old.
What do you say about the price of this watch.

Thanks in advance

If it has a serial number it will be inside the back cover. Not all of the ladies models had a serial number. The 14K case often will have a French gold mark somewhere.

Could this be the French gold mark? Can someone recognise it?
Thanks

I thought the same thing until I got my first French cased Breitling. Seems they weren't too pickey about where they got their solid gold cases from. I mean, really, who's going to turn a little 14k ladies watch into a fake Breitling when the value is all in the gold content anyway. :poke:

Paul, we've seen fakes from the 40s, so why not a 50s ladies piece ? clearly not recent.

Very, very, small market niche for Breitling ladies vintage watches. Just not worth the time and effort to make a fake. Even our friends in South America don't bother with them. Actually I have bought two nice vintage ladies watches from South America. They were rough but original. Most gold tiny vintage ladies watches of any brand are bought only by those interested in the gold content.

Paul, if there was a market for 18k ladies watches in the 1940s and 1950s, there were people who faked them in that period; that was my point.

This watch has been bought in Germany about 45 years ago. How can i know if its real or its a fake? If its real is it worth restoring and if it has some value?

Thanks

value will be primarily in the gold content of the case, there is no collector market for these pieces.
