I'm new to the forum (and watches, in general) and wondered if you all could help me identify this watch and figure out it's worth. I really appreciate your help!! :-)

Navitimer ref 806, its real
Approx 1958-1963 , would need to see the serial number to more accurately date it. Sr is on the inside of the caseback ,

Value ? Pfffft... Condition could be a lot better , its (i assume) gold plated so i would say 2k to 3K in its current condition if the movement looks clean

Thank you so much for sharing your expertise! I'm so pleased to know it's genuine. I assume it's gold plated--it "looks" like gold, anyway. Any tricks to getting the caseback off or should I take it to a pro and have them do it and check out the serial number and movement? I'm trying not to spend money if I don't have to!

Take it to a friendly watchmaker - it will end up costing a lot less!

Also, if you don't know the history of the watch it is going to need a service before use.

If you want to wear it it needs to be serviced or it will cost you a load more money

Love the strap by the way! Probably not that unusual but a first for me, who needs a Datora eh!
