a big thank you to everyone that advised and helped during the saving of my new pluton Breitling, pictured is the now working watch and its hollowed out seiko.
the donar watch cost £40 on ebay, and the movement swap just £80, now i have my old Pluton back and can pass it down when the time is right.
as a result my wife now wants a black faced Colt if any has one for sale.
once again, thanks to all contributors,both members and moderators for the friendly and invaluable advise in this journey.

Glad that it worked out. You might want to pick up another couple of donor watches to 'future proof' yourself. Try a WTB ad in the sales section for your wife's watch.
