Good morning
I have or had as of today a Breitling Aerospace bi-colour watch and bracelet.
I will be purchasing a vitesse on white dial and bi colour watch and bullet bracelet ( l have loved this watch since launched ).
Should I be concerned that this model is not
COSC :lingsrock:

If you are not using the watch for super accuracy timing then I would not be too worried by COSC certification or the lack of it. If you like the watch don't concern yourself over what standard the movement is tested to, or not.

Enjoy.

Welcome to BreitlingSource.

When Breitling moved to COSC certify all of their pieces around 2000 they implemented stricter tolerance ranges on a number of parts in the ETA movements that they used, but they didn't actually change the grade of movement that they purchased - they continued to use the top of the range chronometer grade. As such the fact that your watch isn't formally certified doesn't theoretically affect the accuracy at all - the ETA supplied movement was designed to be capable of meeting COSC specs anyway.

That said, after more than a decade since new the accuracy of the watch is going to have much more to do with how it is regulated and maintained than with whether it is certified - a well maintained Vitesse properly regulated may well keep much better time than an in house movement that is in need of regulation or service.
