im in the market to buy my first breitling watch.
im torn between superocean chronograph II with 18k gold bezel and SuperAvengerII 48mm.please help me to decide.

Well, its really up to you and your preference. Each to their own.

But, of the two you list as preferences, I would go the SA. I can't get enough of this classy and measured watch. Its big though, so make sure it suits your wrist. I think it can be worn in more situations as well, which it the tipping point for me.

Two very different watches so it is difficult to advise.
Make sure that the 48 mm SA fits your wrist well.

+1884 Knowing MORE about who you are (watch ownership background/history, intended use, etc.) might help. Buy the watch that makes YOUR HEART sing

I would go try both of them on, and the one that fits you the best would be the winner. That being said, I think 95% of the members here would choose the Super Avenger over the SO44, but the gold bezel model is nicer IMO than the rubber bezel models.

Have you tried them on?

When I initially saw the SO II on Breitling's site, I was pretty excited about the watch. I tried it on in the boutique and, at least for me, the watch didn't wear.....as advertised. The gold bezel just didn't seem to match off with the rest of the watch; not like, for example, the transocean chronograph with gold bezel. Best way to describe it....good idea, poorly executed.

I'm not a fan of the new SA either, but in this case that's the model I'd choose.
