Don't even bother removing the bracelet from the case when you just want to lightly polish the bracelet. The sunshine cloth or cape cod are not that abrasive that it'll do any damage by just touching the case by accident. You can just use tape to cover the case if you are that worried. I have found that the CapeCod (although messier) takes deeper scratches out better than the sunshine cloth, but for a light polish, the sunshine cloth is ok.

Buy a good one. You can end up scratching the lugs of the watch if you're not careful...even with the good one though. Again, you can strategically place tape in the lug areas where the spring bar might hit when removing the bracelet to avoid scratches.

Add to the Sunshine cloth Veraet Watch Spray, a gentle watch cleaner. It actually cleans better than soap and water, and leaves no residue. Although I used a gentle soap for years on my SuperOcean, apparently the residue from the soap can over time seep into the seals, even though I didn't have a problem.

The Sunshine cloths are wonderful as well every so often, then a wash with Veraet. I have never tried the Cape Cod cloths, but I believe they are more for getting out scratches.
