Hi Fellow Breitling Lovers...

Im new here but been looking around the board for a few months.

Im 26 and have been wanting a Breitling Navitimer World for a few years now with a Croc strap.

First question for you all; if I keep the watch in mint condition can the above watch gain value over the years?

The price for a Breitling Navitimer world with a croc strap is £5030 but Berrys the Jewellers have a sale and have discounted the watch by 25% to just £3770 which is very tempting.

What do you all think? Is it a nice Breitling to start of my collection with?

Navitimer World is a great piece, and popular here. However, like any Breitling and virtually every watch it is going to lose value over time. If you are smart and lucky you can buy a used piece, wear it for a while and sell it for close to what you paid, but that's about it. Any new piece is going to lose value, at least for the foreseeable future.

Welcome to BreitlingSource.

Its a beautiful breitling, but breitlings generally do not maintain value over time. Take a look at what used navitimer worlds go for in the sales forum and on eBay. Don't buy it for resale value, buy it if you like it and will get enjoyment out of wearing it.

What do you all think about the price of £3770 for a brand new piece?

25% is a really good discount for brand new.
