I just purchased a Bentley special edition a25362 that I see it's sometimes referred to as a special edition and sometimes not. I couldn't find anything on Google so was hoping someone could shed some light on this. Are there variations to the model?

Thnx

Here's the info page.

If there is a special series of this watch, I am not aware of it, but others will have more info.

It's not a special edition of the watch, the watch is considered by Breitling to be a 'Special Edition'. There is no clear definition provided by Breitling of what constitutes a special edition, but it seems to indicate restricted production. A limited edition is considered to be xx / xx with a finite total production level, but with special editions it seems to be more that only x% of watches produced in any period are that model.

In the real world it's meaningless because Breitling throws it about so much these days. The display back Cosmonaute was a legitimate special edition - limited production for a limited period, but the Bentleys are really just constrained by demand and have been around for so long it's nothing more than a gimmick.
