I would echo the recommendations of hotmog and TomP, a keeper for life. But, if that is the one you decide on, just be patient as the A17360 really doesn't come up that often, especially the blue dial, which hasn't come up for sale in well over a year.

Andrew Michaels would appear to have some NOS examples of these in a variety of dial colours, including blue.

And sponsor mboverst posted one here less than 2 weeks ago. They come up fairly often.

Hang on a sec! Hotmog, TomP and I were recommending the last iteration of the old SuperOcean that was produced around 2008-2009, with the outlined numerals. It's true SuperOceans do come up for sale relatively often, but not the A1736006's. I had sent Andrew Michaels a note back in August as their website does show images of all four colours of that model, but Richard confirmed that they had one NOS coral/orange dial version for sale and nothing else.

I apologize, I should have been more precise - a lesson for me  ; so charlieH, let me recommend the A1736006 version of the SuperOcean to you. :)

An update for anyone interested

I have a black dial SQ B1 (again) incoming soon from BUK :lingsrock:

But this is NOT my birthday watch, so still looking.

Currently favouring:

Blackbird
NEW Seawolf (black baton dial)
Older Superocean as recommended
NEW Superocean Chrono 44
Avenger GMT

Plenty of time!

Nick

Are you considering a yellow strap Nick?

No mate, not to my taste.
Yellow dial, yes, but straps, nah!
