I think that's inevitable anyway Thomas. When Breitling adds a boutique location there has to be an expectation that ADs within x miles will be reduced in the medium to long term anyway. The boutique strategy is all about trying to maintain prices and increase producer / distributor margin and ADs are not consistent with that strategy sadly.



Yup this happened with the omega boutique in Vancouver. As soon as they opened their doors my AD lost the line. They still do all omega warranty work so not all is lost.

Yes was going to say just that - Omega have been quite aggressive in dumping ADs near their boutiques.

When the Boutique opened in Manhattan, Kenjo, a very long time Breitling dealer down the street, lost the whole line...Kenjo would routinely discount.

And they ended up closing their downtown store because of it since that's where they had the biggest breitling display case. They only have the mid town store now.
