an example; reliable parts seller, clearly not a recent faking attempt.

The hand engraved 17 jewel Unadjusted is interesting. Would the dial be post war, but only just?

I think I'm more concerned (or relieved) that it does not ship to Australia. Are we that far away!

I don't know what would make you think it's an early fake. The hand engraving on the movement, and the dial, would most likely be slightly pre war. if you look at the movement just below the balance you can see where there might be a manufacturers name hand engraved. The dial was probably recently altered to reflect Breitling and to make a $2 watch movement into something else. It's a Landeron anyway.

Clearly a pre-war CS dial, the Breitling addition (ignoring the seller) could have been added recently - i.e. there is nothing that indicates that it isn't just a lightly stamped recent addition. Seller obviously has made a mistake here, let's hope innocently, but without knowing where it came from and when it came into the seller's possession no real way of knowing when it was done.
