Hello,

I recently received this Breitling watch from a collector friend of mine. I tried to look it up online, but it seems the serial numbers don't go back far enough (at least the ones I could find). Can anyone here help me identify this watch? When do you think it was made? Thanks so much!

Are you interpreting the 2509 25 as the serial number (it's the model number) or have you had the back of the watch off to see the real serial number (which is on the inside of the caseback)? If you have then would like to see a movement shot as well.

This reference has been faked so much by the Chinese recently it's nice to see one that looks original. Should be mid 50s with a Felsa automatic movement in it.

Thanks,

I would like to take a picture of the inside. How would I go about getting the back off without a special tool? Any tips?

I found a watchmaker who opened it for me. Thanks.

Can anyone tell me a bit about this piece?

The serial number is 590432

Can't see the movement very well from that picture, but it looks OK from what I see. Serial number dates to 1951.
