This is starting to feel like another low participation event, but here are a few more:

Piaget Emperador
http://www.piaget.com/watches/rose-gold ... h-g0a33070

IWC Portofino Hand Wound 8 Days
http://www.iwc.com/en/collection/portofino/IW5101/

RGM Pennsylvania 801 ES
http://www.rgmwatches.com/collections/A ... S801ES.php

That now gives us 83 pieces, plus the Breitling winners so we need to cull around 23 from the list. We have more than 4 nominations for JLC, Omega, Panerai, Rolex and Zenith and if we limit those to 4 per brand as we original suggested that will cull 9 more, leaving 14 to get rid of. We can have a 'preliminary round' where 28 watches from the list are chosen at random for a match up and the 14 winners of those make it to the top 64, or I am open to alternate suggestions. The only other option I can come up with is to leave it open until we get to 128 total nominations for a full extra round, and at the rate we are going that will be the 2017 competition! To get to 4 per brand I am leaning towards a simple vote for the brands and a 'pick up to 4' choice in that vote - with only 5 brands it's doable.

Any other ideas?

Sadly I agree. I reckon we only had about 15 contributors to this thread.....

:yeahthat It's as good a way as any, and we(you!) did specify the 4 nominations max per brand from the outset.

I think 2017 may be a little optimistic if we go that route!

Well no one else seems to have an opinion so I'll try and get the brand specific 'preliminaries' up in the next couple of days.

Good call. It will take forever to get to 128. I say we eliminate as you suggested in your earlier post, get to a max of 4 per brand, and start the voting. It's a shame more people aren't interested but this is going to be fun anyway.

OK, the brand specific preliminaries will be up in the Forum Projects section (viewforum.php?f=25) in about 30 seconds. Same as usual please, no discussions there, just votes. Here's hoping we get into double digit participation!

Picking the JLCs was my most difficult, which surprised me. Interesting how the Panerai vote is far less, is it because "they all look the same"? I actually did notice distinctions I hadn't before. May be a while but I'm not 'done' with them yet.

JLC was the only one that I actually voted for all 4, and yes, wanted to vote more. Also surprised at what the early results are suggesting in that one.

I had a good few votes on Rolex and I sadly didn't like the panerai, Also can I add the Iwc portuguese or is it too late?

Also Thank you for running the competition. :)

Joe,

I don't want to add that IWC if you don't mind. The nominations were open for close to 4 weeks and we did get 4 IWCs, including two Portuguese. If I add a 5th IWC then we also need to have an IWC specific preliminary round and it just delays things even further. Save that one for next year's nominations!

The only one I voted for 4 on was Panerai. I voted for 3 on JLC as I really don't like Reversos or the Ultra thins.

Oh and it looks like my beloved Ploprof will go out before the main event! :?

Ha,I only voted for one Panerai. I voted for the Zenith Striking 10th even though I owned one and hated it, but it is a watch making feat of sorts.
