Hi there,

I love the site and have been using it as a guest for about 6 months as I've searched for a Chronomat.

I came across this one that I'm afraid to say I purchased in a moment of weakness on Ebay after a few glasses of wine, and am fully aware I should have done this first, but I got a good feeling and It's on it's way to me as I write, but I can't wait!

Are the pictures good enough to tell or do I need to take more when it arrives?

Here's hoping!

Alan

I'll give the same answer as on the thread you deleted. I can't tell for sure from those photos.

Thanks guys,

Sorry about deleting the previous but after posting I suddenly got worried, as if it's real I'll be over the moon with it and the watch was still with the seller and I thought somebody may have seen it on Ebay and get to him if it was a really good deal, but it's sitting in the post office now, this is the link

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Breitling-Chr ... true&rt=nc

I'll post more pictures when I get it tomorrow

I've had a look at the clearer photos on the listing now and I can confirm the watch is 100% real. :lingsrock:

Hi again guys,

I picked the watch up and I've tried to take some clearer pictures and now appreciate how hard it is, I hope these are ok.

I'm having a hard time believing it's real because it looks almost as new and feels like it is new, it exceeds my expectations, a bit too good to be true!

Observations, bear in mind I've never really held a real Breitling in my hands to compare to this.
The bezel, especially the inner bezel feel quite sharp on the edges, also the edges of the 4 riders and the screws have a sharpness when you run your hands over them.
There doesn't seem to be any magnifying window on the crystal.
I can't see a blue tinge on the crystal.
The crown, the stop watch, reset and day date adjustments work exactly as the (as new very crisp) booklet describes.
The serial number marking is very light but very clear, it may even be lazered.

I'm going out now and going to be scared to check this when I get back!

Fingers crossed!

Thanks again,

Alan

In the post you quoted I agreed with Adrian's assessment that it is real. Stop worrying about it!
