Probably an obvious new person question...

On the cosmonaute, does the hour hand point to the hour in military time? I mean, does it go around one time per day?

When it is noon, is the hour hand pointing to where the 6 should be?

The hour hand only sweeps the dial once in a 24 hour period, instead of twice for a 12 hour watch. So, cosmonaute 24 hours of one complete rotation, but Navitimer 12 hours to complete one rotation.

Thanks. I imagine it takes some getting used to.

I found the 24 hour time handy when I was single living in Germany. After a night of determined bar hopping it's nice to wake up with a 24 hour watch where you don't have to wonder whether it's 6 AM or 6 PM.

I actually found the hours pretty intuitive, I had more issues getting used to the minutes as the numbers weren't what I was expecting when taking a quick glance.

Ah, I didn't even think of the minutes. I guess it's like anything else, you just get used to it. Switching back and forth between that and a traditional watch would be interesting.

I find 24 hour dials challenging. It's the only reason I have one as I have no need for the function otherwise.

That's funny^

I am so used to doing the math to get to 24 hour time, I think my brain would just shut down if I tried to work it in reverse!!

The challenge for me is seeing the hour hand in the wrong place every time check! :) I have no problems with the minute hand though as that's pretty easy for me personally. It is the reverse to using a secondary time zone off the bezel for me though - hours OK, minutes confusing.

Personally I found the hrs easy to read, but did take a few determined minutes when I first bought my Cossie to work out how to read the minutes.

Hmm, and how readable is the 24hrs dial in the dark, only with the lume?
