Ressence Type 3 is definitely too expensive - list price is 23,000 Euros.

Are you sure on pricing of the Freidrich? I can't find a list price but that's a lot cheaper than their other models - the Albert (admittedly a chrono) is almost $70,000 which makes me suspicious about that one.

Some good choices there Driver8, although you chose the wrong Parmigiani.

Au contraire, Mr Roff.  I really like the Pershing range myself, plus the 005 makes the cut for price. I probably would've gone for the 115 instead of the 005 given free-reign, but that model's not within price.

I had a funny feeling that would make an appearance! Still your favourite watch?

Favourite wrist watch, but that may change in the next month or so.........

On Parmigiani, I like the Kalpa XL, but you're allowed to be wrong occasionally

I have a pdf copy of the 2012 Price List. While I filled out the form for the 2013 Price List, I have not received a response. For 2012, the stainless steel Friedrich II is listed at 18,960 USD, while the Albert von Sachsen is indeed listed at 68,410 USD. The Friedrich III features the same movement as the Friedrich II and is also available in stainless steel. These prices exclude both shipping costs and taxes, FYI. :)

My level of confidence with respect to the Friedrich III costing less than 25,000 USD MSRP is 90%, but the final call is yours. It's an interesting brand regardless, one that I regret not discovering in time for my visit to Dresden in 2010.

Friederich II and II are virtually identical watches - II just has roman numerals, so let's put that one in, but Ressence has to stay out as that definitely doesn't qualify.

With the recent softening of Panerai prices, the 294 is actually available for $25K or less nowadays -- good deal for a Special Edition 49 Pcs-only Panerai!

Don't want this to run forever, it's going to be 2014 before we're finished as it is. A few more days to nominate pieces then I'll add a whole bunch of independents to make life interesting and we can decide on how we want to whittle it down to the 64 that we need for the full competition. If you have some more to add now's the time to do it!!
