You are correct, worst case scenario would be around 1500, but I don't think it will be that much. Although I'm really just guessing at this point. At what the 01 retails for it's still cheaper, and in the end I'll have the piece if mind that Breitling fixed the problem and serviced the movement. I'm going to wait for my World to arrive back from BUSA and then I'll send out the Chronomat. I'll keep you guys posted once I find out any info. Thanks again!

Well, after a lot of though and indecisiveness, I decided to go with the return. I shouldn't have to deal with any of this, even if I did get a discount. The seller did not disclose any damage to the watch when it was sold, so the refund should be smooth. There is also a 14 day return policy. I already feel better about the situation, and in the end I can purchase the watch I want with out any issues from Govbergs, warranty and all. Thanks again guys for your help. I will let you know what I end up with.

Yap buying new with the 5 years warranty will be the best option, piece of mind and the feeling of having everything new for something that you like very much. A pity that you already spend money to polish it? The seller must be very grateful to you for that:( Wear it a few days and get it scratched before you return it:p

I didn't spend any money polishing it, I just buffed it out with a Sunshine cloth for a couple hours. It wasn't perfect but it came out mint. They should be happy when they get it back.

I was waiting on commenting because I have only bought new. I'm not the best judge on used pieces. With that said, I would have returned it for sure, good move...

Great Move, I would of done the same. Nobody wants to drop $1500 on a watch they just got to make it what it should of been from the beginning!!

Matt, I think you should keep the watch and send it in for service/repair.

You were very excited by this one 'incoming', so its obviously its one that you care about. Pushers come off all the time (not really, but you know what I mean). They can be fixed and the fact you have already made a good deal on price, the prospect of a service and repairs still puts you ahead.

If you still really like this watch, even after the setbacks, then why not keep it. It will always be a fine remembrance later on when you recount your first contact you had with this one.

I totally disagree 100%. Mostly for the fact that the service alone on a 01 movement could cost close to what he saved. Each to their own I guess...

Oh OK. My confusion. I thought he was well ahead on price. He can always find another one to replace it.

I was doing ok, but after all this nonsense, I figured why not just return it, save the headache, and get the watch I really want.. So I put a down payment on a Chronomat 47 GMT LE!;) Early Christmas gift to myself. I will update with pics when I get it towards the last part of next week. This is one watch that I have been wanting for a long time, and can't wait to strap that puppy to my wrist!

Even better, getting what you really want plus if you're buying new, 5 years of security. Sounds good to me. Post some pics of that bad boy when it comes in.
