Hi everyone, its only a yellow booklet where I have to fill together with the store. Is that enough??

Well the warranty is a yellow booklet, but you shouldn't have to complete anything - it should already be completed by the AD, with most of the information printed if it is the warranty that goes with the watch that you bought. Can you post pictures?

You should also have the COSC certificate (although a replacement of that can be ordered).

I only saw the yellow booklet that was empty with a stamp. I didn't have my watch with me when I was in the store so I come tommorow. I text them that it was incomplete. And that I need the official certificate as well. But why is it so important? Do I get trouble with garantee without certificate? And how long do I get garantee?

The warranty booklet should be personalised to the watch, it sounds as though yours is just a generic one that doesn't have the watch model or serial numbers printed in it - that could be an issue with Breitling if you ever need to use the warranty. Breitling's standard warranty is 2 years, in house movement models have a 5 year warranty but you haven't told us which model you bought so can't tell you for sure what you have.

The COSC has nothing to do with the warranty, the watch was independently certified to meet the standards for chronometer certification and the certificate is evidence of that. If your husband is going to keep the watch forever and doesn't care about that then it's not an issue, but the watch is incomplete without it and if you ever want to sell the watch the buyer will expect it.

Do you think it's okay to have only the warranty booklet? We are not planning to sell the watch. I was only thinking about traveling. For example: If my husband has a mission at his work and he will go to Asia. I am afraid of that they will take his watch at the security because he has no certificate. Is this a common problem?

No, it's not going to happen.

If it were me I would want everything that I was entitled to - the watch costs more because it is COSC certified, and I would want proof of that if I bought the watch new. If you are never going to sell and your husband doesn't care then forget he COSC. It is important to have a warranty that matches the watch in terms of model / serial number though.

(Heartstone, you are aware that that's a quartz and not a mechanical watch yes? No problem with that of course - Breitling quartz watches are top-notch - but given what else you say about this outlet I jut wanted to check that they'd explained that this was a battery-powered and not mechanical watch.)

I would return it - hopefully you used a credit card. If they refuse to take it back, you can dispute the charge with your credit card bank and they will initiate a chargeback. You will need to fill out a form detailing the process and the merchant's misrepresentation.
It's clear that they can't supply correct papers even though they said they could. No papers, plus damaged, means no sale to me.

This, to me, is the way to go.

What is unfortunate is that there are several ways to buy Omega and Breitling with 25% (not just 20%) discount and get an authentic, fully papered, brand new and fully warrantied watch. I find it too bad for the people who get scammed by ethically-challenged sellers like this. :(

I know that I am late to this saga, but looking at the picture, if this watch is new, why is the chimney all beat up between 5:00 and 8:00? it is possible that the new owner beat the crap out of it as soon as he walked out of the store but the bottom of the chimney as opposed to the leading edge is a strange place for one's first ding...

Read the line below the pic. She said she pulled the pic from the net.
