Hello all!
I have always been a casual fan of horology, appreciating the technical and artistic achievements by the master manufacturers of the world. Until today, my modest collection consisted of a couple of Tissot pieces (PRS 516 Automatic & PRC 200 Chronograph) and a Tag Heuer 2000 Classic. Nice watches to be sure, but nothing spectacular.
Lately, I've been looking at getting something new, but something on the "next level" from the usual suspects: Rolex, Omega, the Carrera and Monaco lines from Tag Heuer, as well as the often overlooked Ball.
So today, even though I'm traveling on business, I found myself at Rone Regency Jewelers in Chattanooga, TN to look over their Rolex and Tag Heuer selection. I had my mind set on an Explorer II or Millgaus, when on a whim, I inquired about Breitling. Admittedly, I didn't know much about the brand, but my salesman was patient and informative, giving me the history of the brand as well as going over the product line-up.
So, after about an hour of looking, haggling and thinking, I came out with this:

My Breitling Heritage SuperOcean Chronograph 46 clicked all the right boxes with me: it has the prestige and technical specification I was looking for, as well as that certain exclusiveness that insures I won't see it on every other passenger that sits with me in First Class. Even the packaging, with the electronic registration "card", is on that next-level...amazing!
Consider me the newest, proudest Breitling fan!
