Out of all the chronos, I like the superocean one the best. For me it's one of the best looking Breitlings out there, but a lot of people seem to go for the Super Avenger or other more expensive chrono models instead.

I wonder if it's the fact that it's the cheapest breitling chrono out (meaning people think it's entry level), or the fact that it's a little smaller than the others, which turn people away.

Obviously, I understand that it's a personal opinion, but I'm interested to hear your thoughts?

I like the CSO. In fact I like it more than the SA. I don't think the SA would be anywhere near as popular if it were 42mm - the current trend is for larger watches.

I don't think that the price turns people off (isn't the CHrono Colt II cheaper?), it's still a Breitling with all that entails - and it's not 'cheap'.

Well there is only a $390 difference between the two... so it's not like it's half the price or anything. That being said what draws me to the SA is the size of it. I too like the looks of a SO but wish it would eat it's Wheaties

Both I guess. Despite the fact that is it is the same movement (Cal 13) as is used in the Chronomat, Skyland Avenger and Super Avenger etc (with the bonus of the day display as well!), because it's a cheaper watch, most people will think it inferior.

I think the main reason for it's lack of popularity is solely down to the "Bigger is Better" attitude which Breitlings seem to attract. This was a big watch when introduced but is now dwarfed by other models.

Personally, I prefer smaller watches. I'm wearing a Chinese Sea-Gull today which is only about 37mm but since I'm not a linebacker, looks fine on my wrist! If you like the CSO, go for it!

I think you hit the nail on the head, Zidane, when you said it's all a matter of personal opinion.

For me, and obviously this is just my personal view, I've never liked day windows on my watches - it clutters the dial too much IMHO - and yes it is a little too small for my taste. My wrists are a reasonable size, so the larger watches just happen to suit me better - it's not a "fashion thing" for me, I just genuinely like the larger watches. (For example, I bought my first Navi World long before I was a member on here and that was after trying on an ordinary Navi and finding that it just looked too small on me).

I'm not sure if cost comes into it really - the Steelfish for example is "cheap" compared to most Breitlings, but it's very popular. I just think some models just strike a chord with buyers more than others.

I definitely dont see it as a cheaper model. It is one of the best looking watches in the line, IMO. I would have bought one myself, had it not been for the size. The size is actually very reasonable; the problem is that most of us arent

I ended up with a Skyland as my first B chrono, more for the size than anything else. The SA is to big, and the CSO is too small. That left me deciding between the chronomat and the skyland. Chronomat seemed too dressy, so the nod went to the skyland.

If you like it, get it. After all, its an effing breitling

Simply, there is no such thing as a cheap Breitling. Just some are more expensive than others. No such thing as an entry Breitling.

It is indeed one of the best looking chrono imo. I too am a victim of "bigger is better" attitude.

I originally had my mind set on Chronomat Evolution, which I can easily obtain it in any color combination I want, but after seeing the SA in person it changed my mind.

how much is the CSO?

Sorry for being misunderstandable, reply was in the "subject": watch is 2.990 Euro in Germany on ProII. bracelet. Used to be 3.150 Euro but all Breitlings (and maybe all swiss watches???) went down a bit because of the very strong Euro. All in all, somewhere around 3.000 Euro.
