I always get organised. I carry the travel watch holder in my hand luggage and before going through passport control get a seat and take my watch off and put it in the travel holder then put it in my bag. Once through go for a pint and put my watch back on. I hate the panic of having to do it at the X-ray station as you always feel rushed.

Terrible news! Next time, leave the watch on your wrist!

Breitling should have sent it back with a branded travel case. If not, why not ask them for one? I keep mine nice & snug in the case inside my suitcase every time.

I should have mentioned that it was :) I agree it will come in very handy although I will be trying my best to keep it safely on my wrist at all times!

I always placed my watches in my carry on case and clipped the zipper section closed to complicate the quick lift theft. Then I read in this thread that US-TSA allows watches on during full body scan. Went through full body scan 4X in the last 2 weeks with no problems. When asked, the TSA agents gladly confirmed that it's OK. I've learned a lot from BS. Thanks!!

Exactly, why even take the watch off to stow it away in your carry on when someone can see you put it in there and have someone swipe the whole carry on while you're waiting to get thru the scanner line. Just wear it thru.
