The nice guy in the Breitling dealers gave me an official Breitling baseball style cap. Is it over the top to wear the cap and the watch at the same time? The wife says it will make me look chavey (AKA trashy) if I do. She suggested I may as well just get the Breitling logo tattooed on my arm with a big arrow pointing at the watch. But surely that will look silly when I wear the old Rolex?

I haven't worn the hat with the watch, only cause I don't really wear baseball caps much, but I do wear my Breitling with a T-shirt sometimes and always get nice positive comments from folks invariably either saying nice watch or Breitling's are a nice watch...you wearing one?...last time I wore the combo when I was in Vegas with the family, and a nice couple visiting from Australia struck up a long conversation after the gentleman also said he liked Breitlings.

Given your apparent disdain for Breitling at the moment I am amazed that you would even consider wearing their advertising!

Your wife is right!

Yeah go easy. The watch will speak for itself...
Save the hat for t-shirt & jeans running errands day. (No watch)

The Breitling hats, and most of the clothing, is a little like having a neon sign turned on that blinks. A little to 'in your face' for my taste. I'd wear a Breitling hat regularly (since I'm a hat wearer) if it was more discreet and maybe had the Breitling wings no more than 2" wide on it. I understand it's all about advertising and getting noticed but, seriously, some of their stuff leaves a lot to be desired.

I've never worn any of the Breitling cap I've received, but have worn an Omega cap with a Breitling on my wrist and another time with a Rolex. I'm guessing you wouldn't be wearing it with a suit, rather a casual shirt and jeans or shorts. If so, what is the conceivable problem? Sometimes I am convinced folks over-think stuff waaaaaaaay too much. This clearly is one of those moments.

I would wear their hats but they aren't very stylish.. I wish they would come out with a flex fit or a newer style. Something about the nautical rope across the brim that doesn't jive.

I wear their hat on weekend or whenever I don't feel like putting gel in my hair. It's an ok hat, nothing to go gaga over.

??????

Am I not allowed to have opinions now - this would seem incredibly ironic considering some of the things that I have been accused of in the past.

Lincoln was right......

I'm not making an accusation, and of course you, and all of us are entitled to post opinions. It's more the tone. Sorry, should have been clearer :D
