If your going to put a fake bezel on the watch why not just buy a fake watch to begin with?

What's the point of a fake bezel? So it looks like a real diamond breitling?

Is this considered a fake?

Its a Skyracer case, and a Pilot band. Both are Breitling products. However the lask link on the band was modified to be convex and fit the SR.

FAKE!!!

:nana: just playin..

I would love to do that with a new co pilot on my B1...

Is that a pinky ring? :cigar:

Wow, that looks great! Nice mod.

Resurrecting this thread as it's something I'm currently considering and have a few questions which I hope someone can answer.

1. If I was to purchase an aftermarket bezel, how easy/difficult is it for me to change the bezels? ie. could I wear the diamonds on the weekend and the OEM as a daily?

2. Can I buy an OEM SA bezel and have the diamonds set into that?

3. I regret not buying OEM Breitling diamond SA, if I could turn back time I would have waited a little longer and saved up for the factory diamond version. Do Breitling sell the diamond bezel on it's own to SA owners?

1 - it's fairly straightforward, just loosen the screws. It will take a few minutes, but not difficult.

2 - you likely won't be able to get one from Breitling, but yes, they are around on places like eBay and I believe that some of the bezel sellers offer them in OEM bezels

3 - no

Thanks for the quick reply Roff! Very helpful as always!

Just wondering that if it's that simple to change the bezels, then why is there such an issue with warranty because surely you'd just put the OEM back on if any work needs to be done to the watch.

To be honest there doesn't tend to be an issue with warranties when it comes to aftermarket bezels. The bezels on the SA (and Chronomats, etc) is only really one step up from changing straps - i.e. it's not an invasive, inside the case procedure.

A long time ago I was considering making a TT Bentley (I even bought a second Motors and was looking to buy the dial and bezel from a gold model to make a TT version) and I checked with BUK to see if they would still honour a warranty on such a modified watch. The response at that time was that (while they certainly wouldn't do the modification for me!) the bezel wouldn't be a problem in terms of the warranty as it's fixed externally to the case..... unless the warranty claim was bezel related of course. The dial would've definitely invalidated the warranty, but they did say that they'd probably still be OK to service it (all at my expense of course). This surprised me as the dial would mean a non-Breitling jeweller opening the case. This was a while ago, so things may have changed in this regard.

It's an easy comment to make, but.....

I think that most people seeing that would view it as an endorsement for a factory Breitling diamond bezel or no diamonds.

It is my personal opinion (which is worth what you paid for it) that it is absolutely hideous. It is also my personal opinion that most people here will agree with me.

If you like it then that's all that matters, but don't expect many people to view it as an enhancement on a Super Avenger with or without factory diamonds. Most people here would also find the Breitling factory 'diamondworks' pieces to be hideous.
